The CooperTown Cafe

Mississippi blues and good ole’ & rsquo; home cooking simply seem to go together. They absolutely go well with each other at Coopertown Café, a dining establishment situated in Hattiesburg, run by indigenous Brookhaven siblings, Cameron and Doyce Cleckler. “& ldquo; We originate from a cooking family members,” & rdquo; said proprietor, Cameron Cleckler. Their grandparents, Houston and Gladys Jordan, opened up The 84 Dairy Twist in the 1960s.

Not just are the food and music southerly, but the décor is, also. Each tabletop display screens a motif, whether it be “& ldquo; Opted for the Wind” & rdquo; or & ldquo; Southern Miss. & rdquo; Camp Shelby is also stood for. “& ldquo; Every table top is an initial that we made ourselves,” & rdquo; stated C. Cleckler. The café has an informal feel. The proprietor defined the environment as “& ldquo; really laid back & rdquo; – and & ldquo; informal dining & rdquo;-- the best ambience for the smooth, creamy blues. A quote in the vibrant Coopertown Café menu reviews, “& ldquo; Food done with love by individuals that love food.”
